Biography

Douglas Taylor is a board-certified (ANCC) Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) in the United States Army. In 2018, Douglas completed his Doctorate of Nursing Practice at the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences. He has served over 16 years as an Active Duty Army nurse/officer in various clinical assignments, including ICU Nurse in a Combat Support Hospital, Emergency Room Clinical Nurse Officer in Charge, and chief of three behavioral health clinics. Professionally, Douglas specializes in Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, having worked closely with special operations forces and substance use disorders, including buprenorphine for opiate addiction. Douglas’ academic areas of interest include policy advocacy and global health engagement.
