Biography
Dr. Teisha St. Rose is Assistant Faculty in the Phase I Nurse Anesthesia Program. She began her career in the Air Force as an enlisted Medical Technician at Wright Patterson AFB. After completing her enlistment, she left the military to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Park University. Her goal was to become a Psychologist, but as she was beginning that journey, she realized she had a passion for nursing. She had never thought of nursing as a career, but her four years at Wright Patterson had opened her eyes to the possibility. She entered Mount St. Joseph University and obtained her MS in Nursing, worked for three years in a surgical ICU at a VA Medical Center, and then returned to active duty as an ICU Nurse. Two years after her return, Dr. St. Rose completed a Master of Science from the Uniformed Services University and became a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist. Since then, she has enjoyed several assignments and deployments, and in some circumstances, she has been the sole anesthesia provider. Later, Dr. St. Rose completed a Doctor of Nursing Practice at Duke University and concurrently completed a teaching certificate in Nurse Education. Her capstone project focused on pediatric emergence delirium and her other research interests include postoperative nausea and vomiting and simulation in nursing education.Career Highlights: Positions, Projects, Deployements, Awards and Additional Publications
