Biography

Maj Casper is the Clinical Phase II Site Director for the Graduate School of Nursing at the USAF Academy in beautiful Colorado. Maj Casper direct commissioned into the Air Force in Dec 2008 after receiving her Bachelor’s in Nursing at East Tennessee State University in May 2007. She has spent most of her career as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from the Uniformed Services University in 2015. While pursuing her advanced degree, Maj Casper’s research interest included enhancing provider awareness and delivery of culturally competent care within the LGBT population. Her interests have broadened to include exploring meaning/purpose and ultimately motivation/drive. Outside of the academic and occupational settings, she enjoys spending time with her family in the beautiful Rocky Mountains.
