Biography
Lt Col Connors is an Assistant Professor for the Uniformed Services University and is stationed at Keesler Air Force Base, Mississippi. In this position he works as the Clinical Site Coordinator for Phase II Doctorate of Nursing Practice students. He provides his clinical expertise in steering curriculum and policy in the graduate medical education office at Keesler AFB, and he performs primary care duties in the family health, pediatric, and operational medicine clinics. As academic faculty, he facilitates professional collaboration with regards to evidence-based research and quality improvement projects.Lt Col Connors is credentialed to practice as both a Family Nurse Practitioner and an Aeromedical Nurse Practitioner. In addition to fostering a scholarly environment, he has worked as a Military Treatment Facility Human Research Protection Officer where he was responsible for ensuring approved research projects were compliant with Air Force, DoD, Institutional Review Board, and facility requirements. His most recent publications/presentations deal with diagnosing, categorizing, and overcoming parental vaccine hesitancy. In addition, he has worked at numerous military treatment facilities in pediatrics, family medicine, and flight medicine. He has been the sole squadron medical element provider for explosive ordnance disposal (EOD) personnel, a pilot instructor training squadron, and undergraduate pilot training personnel.
